I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kent Lambert (ex-All Black) and I am currently seeking a Head coaching role.
I have over 20 years’ experience as a player at the highest level and as a coach. I have coached both female and male teams at club and representative levels. I have spent many years in the administration side and can appreciate all aspects of the role.
I have managed hotels for over 20 years and have a solid understanding of people. I have vast experience dealing with players, sponsors and committees and feel that I would be a valuable member to your organization.
I made the difficult decision to leave coaching as I could not commit the time I wanted due to business commitments. I have since left New Zealand and moved to Perth Australia. I am now able to commit all my time to my passion of coaching and feel that I would be a great asset to your organization.
I would welcome the opportunity to attend an interview and can be contacted at any time.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY
DEVELOPMENT
• To prepare individuals and teams mentally and physically with a high skill level to be able to achieve long term success, and to keep striving for improvement
• To approach the task with the understanding that development is an endless process but the team must aim for perfection
• That a sound development programme will help achieve and ensure a healthy future for any rugby organisation
• That there must be continuous evaluation of progress and adjustments made when and where necessary
• To encourage members to increase their knowledge to prepare themselves for the future by making full use of the resources available e.g. NZRFU, other sports regional sports trusts etc.
STRATEGY
I will instil in all my Players that they must:
• Have the right Mindset
• Think positive at all times. Players must have a positive approach and always look for opportunities
• Think 1st Division, not 2nd Division and believe they can achieve this
• Work to achieve a higher standard than the opposition and not just do enough to achieve short term goals
• Be totally committed
• Be well organised – This will allow them quality time to achieve on and off the field and therefore eliminate unnecessary stress
• Not set personal goals to low
• Lead the way for younger players
• Have a professional approach, attitude makes a professional, not money
• Not allow unplanned circumstances to upset them, instil a “nothing upsets us” approach. This will facilitate concentration and focus with the tasks at hand
• Remember who they are representing, to be proud but remain humble and to work hard but be patient for success will come.
MY PERSONAL COMMITMENT
• I will develop confidence in my squad by demanding a high FITNESS, MENTAL and SKILL level.
• I will develop a clear team plan towards each game.
• I will develop the players to be able to play at a level the opposition team finds difficult to counter.
• I will develop a range of plays that are effective and can lead to the team scoring from anywhere on the field.
• I will be committed to the objectives of the club/organisation and to the achievement of their goals.
